Cloud Engineer

We’re looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role is designed for engineers who bring a broader technical perspective, take full ownership of their work, and drive measurable business impact.

You’ll be working on large-scale, production-grade systems, improving performance, reliability, and scalability while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver complex products that serve millions of users.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, distributed cloud systems.

• Lead end-to-end development of complex projects — from conception to release — ensuring business and engineering goals are met.

• Proactively handle production challenges such as outages, bugs, and performance degradation.

• Contribute to architectural discussions and long-term technical strategy.

• Drive measurable improvements in reliability, efficiency, or customer experience.

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business outcomes.

• Continuously learn and experiment with new technologies to push engineering excellence forward.

• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices for cloud-native development.

What We’re Looking For

• Broad technical exposure beyond a single framework or stack (e.g., experience across multiple programming languages, cloud providers, or architecture types).

• Hands-on experience in production environments, including incident response, debugging distributed systems, and managing reliability at scale.

• Proven ability to ship and own complex projects, and clearly explain the challenges and decisions involved.

• Experience supporting applications for large user bases (1M+ users) or high-traffic systems.

• Strong sense of ownership and understanding of how engineering work translates into business value.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other STEM fields.

• Demonstrated passion for technology — via open-source contributions, personal projects, or continuous learning.

• Growth mindset: curiosity, adaptability, and an eagerness to learn new tools or paradigms.

Bonus Points For

• Proven impact on business or engineering metrics (e.g., reducing latency, improving uptime, increasing deployment speed).

• Experience with multiple cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.) and modern infrastructure tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).

• Exposure to backend languages beyond JavaScript/Node.js — e.g., Go, Rust, Python, or functional languages like Haskell.

• Experience designing reliable distributed systems.
